from Pamela's blog (: There once lived a granny and everyday, she would travel up the hill and to the lake to get water. She always carry a pole over her shoulders and on each of the pole would rest a bucket. The buckets would be used to store the water and bring home. However, one bucket was in perfect condition while the other bucket would be cracked. The bucket that was in good condition would always be filled fully with water while the bucket that was cracked would only bring home half the amount of water that it could carry because the water would leak out. So for two years, the granny would only carry a bucket and a half of water home everyday. As such, the perfect bucket felt very happy and proud whereas the cracked bucket would feel ashamed of himself and unworthy.
One day, he asked the granny: "Why don't you just get a new bucket? For the past few years, I am only able to deliver half a bucket of water home. Due to my flaws, you are only able to bring home one and a half bucket of water even though you worked so hard to carry the water from the lake."
So when the granny heard how sad the bucket was, the granny decided to bring the bucket to a place and the place was the journey from the lake to her home. What the granny showed the bucket was the beautiful flowers along the path of the lake. And she says to the bucket: " I've always known about your flaws, I've always known about the cracks. So I took advantage of it. I planted flower seeds on your side of the path and because of you, these beautiful flowers would be able to grow and I am able to pick these flowers and place them in my own house. And because of you this cracked bucket, I wouldn't have experienced such a beautiful journey on the way to collect water and I wouldn't be able to have beautiful flowers in my house!" :D
So remember guys, we are all cracked buckets and nothing goes to waste. Nobody in the world are completely useless so never ever underestimate yourself and what you can do.
Never underestimate yourself. Have Faith and Hope in yourself and others. Just like mud, it may look useless and dirty to some. But to others, its valuable. Once its scooped off the ground, it will become clay and has every opportunity to turn into a piece of beautiful art work. ~ By Lindy Tsang
i suddenly miss dunman peeps, those days when we always have all the craps and jokes in class; those days when we always slack around after school. ): somehow, i don't really like growing up. _______________________________________
